    ITS a rotten corpse eating buzzard. ITS also AGAINST THE LAW to shot it or try to kill it. IF it lands try to get down wind and sneak up on it.. YOU get very close and you can smell it.. IT SMELLS LIKE ROTTING MEAT... The stink is awful..

    Its a stinking old buzzard...you can tell at a glance by the "fingers" at the tip of its wings. Hawks and eagles have a much more "clean edge" at the wing tip.

    Thea is close. It's a black vulture. The turkey vulture has an elongate tail, not a fan-shaped one. They sometimes flock together.

    The size, as well as the colour and shape of the flight feathers and tail are consistent with Turkey vulture.

    It's hard to tell the actual size. Eagles are usually around twice the size of a hawk and if you see one you will say WHOA. So it's more likely a hawk or osprey. Find out which birds are common in your area, then look at pictures of them online.
