Entomology: What kind of bug is this? Are they harmful?

I found this bug while cleaning my mattress and it’s not a normal bed bug or termite according to my research. I’m not sure if they are harmful or how to kill/prevent them. This mattress is relatively new (1-2 y/o) so I don’t know if I need a new one. It is very small, smaller than the head of a Q-tip. Does anyone know what these bugs are called so I can research them more?

Dermestid beetle larva. Likely a carpet beetle.
