    No. It is an independent nation that is a member nation in the British Commonwealth. Commonwealth countries recognize the reigning King or Queen of the United Kingdom as an official monarch, with very limited power.

      Actually, most Commonwealth countries are republics, where the Queen has no power at all.  She does in the 16  Commonwealth Realms, which is a different thing entirely.
