Is your city gradually weaseling out of recycling by excluding more and more items that don't pay?

Recycling has failed as a practical practice, and many cities have no place to dispose of recyclables since Asian countries have limited what they will allow shipped to them.

Recycling never paid for its self but is a way to help keep the local environment clean.

They recently stopped recycling glass in my area. They still take paper, cardboard, and corrugated board, though, and those pay less, unless you factor in the costs of landfill disposal.

I wouldn't call it weaseling out. If recycling can be made profitable it will take off in a big way. The best way to save the planet is to make green living more profitable than unsustainable living.
