How did they make war movies during WW2?
Iv'e seen movies about WW2 that were actually made during the war.
How did production companies find the time and space to do such a thing?
Germans could have mistaken film sets for actual American armies, couldn't they?

Those movies were filmed in America, mostly on sets in California or deserts in Nevada or Arizona. WW2 wasn’t fought on American soil or in American sky’s other than Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor. Even if Germans mistook movie sets for reality it wouldn’t have mattered. They didn’t and wouldn’t have made it to the US to engage them in battle.

Those movies were mostly made on the west coast, far from Germany.
