How should lacto fermented blueberry whey soda smell on day 3 of fermentation? ?
I simmered blueberries in water and sugar, let it cool to room temp, and added whey for fermentation. It is day 3 after that and when I release the gasses it smells different. Not horrible, but slightly off. Not what I would expect from blueberry soda pop. Is this common in lacto fermented beverages? Or did I do something wrong?
