By that I mean Las Vegas.

Flamingo is cheap.
We stayed at the Flamingo from 8/29/10 - 9/1/10. The room was $55.00 a night.
The Flamingo is a very nice hotel. Every one is very nice, friendly and helpful.

The cheapest are downtown. They are much older and are not considered resorts like those on the strip. If you go to the following webpage you can use the Las Vegas Hotels search engine in the upper right hand corner of the page. Enter dates and it will search the entire web for the best prices. Click on PRICE and will re-sort with the lowest prices first. You will see that most of them will be downtown.Source(s): http://www.myvegasbuddy.com/deals.htm

Prices vary by hotel, day of week, etc. Downtown may be a little less expensive but on Strip you can get deals like Excalibur, Circus Circus, or you can travel just off Strip to South Point, orleans, or Gold Coast for good deals

The cheapest hotels are downtown (freemont street) or off the strip (the oreleans) The Imperial has a great locaton (center strip) but it is a run down place. If you book at slow times you can get a good deal at a good hotel.

Imperial Palace is definitely cheapest on the strip as there's no resort fees. The hotel itself is pretty rundown but location and price cant' be beat. However, for a slighly higher price you can stay at Ballys or Flamingo, which are significant upgrades.
