Best answer: What do you mean by 'a little off.'

MOST women ovulate *about* 2 weeks (plus or minus 2 days) before the first day of the next period. And they are fertile for about 5 days leading up to ovulation.
So if you are reasonably regular, you should be able to get a good estimate of what days you are likely to be fertile. And then, since you don't have to have sex precisely on the day of ovulation, you can have sex whenever you feel like it during that probably 7-10 day range, and you should hit your fertile days. (And you don't need an app to do it. A paper calendar will work just fine.)

If you are very irregular, ovulation predictor kits might help.

And then -- be patient. If you were fertile last week it's too early to test. Until your period is late (which will be at least 2 weeks after the day you expect to have ovulated) there is NO point in testing.

And -- even when everything is timed perfectly you still have only about a 20% chance of pregnancy in any single cycle. It takes time. So not being pregnant after 2 months does not mean anything is wrong or that you need any special tips or tricks.

  • My fiance and I are trying to have a baby?

My fiance and I have been trying for a baby for almost a year now, but nothing ever happens. We're both 26 years old and in good health. We use Trojan brand condoms if that helps.

Let’s start with some facts to help with your advice or opinion. I’m 22, he’s 25, I’m married happily, we don’t do drugs, we own a home, and I graduate from school in May 2018. I had the mirena put in when we met, because although we both wanted kids, we decided that things between us were more important. Since then, we’ve progressed through the relationship, and we have gotten married and bought a house. We pay our bills, and are moderately happy. I don’t think that having a baby would be a bad idea, but I also still don’t feel like the timing is right. (Although, is timing ever right) Neither of us have children, and we both want children together. I’m asking if, in your opinion, based on this, do you think I should keep the BC for a little while longer, or take the plunge and try to expand our family? He already has a well paying job with benefits, and I graduate and am guarenteed job placement in May 2018.

  • Can you conceive 4 days after your period if you're on a 40 day cycle?

Best answer: It's not very likely. You would normally ovulate 14 days before the first day of the next period or nearly 20 days later (depending how long your period lasted). Sperm can live in you for up to 5 days but they would still be dead long before you would be expected to ovulate which is when you are fertile and... show more

Honestly, what made you think your boyfriend is such an expert on the odds of baby making when you're so clueless yourself? Where is he supposed to have found this fountain of wisdom about pregnancy statistics?

Face it, he was just saying whatever it took to get into your pants without even a second thought about your reproductive health. And you fell for it.

Ok so I was watching part of this Dr. Phil episode and well it was about this couple who adopted a baby from a drug addicted mother and well the boy ended up having early signs of psychopathy. Ok so I normally don't agree with getting an abortion ( There are a few occassions where I do agree with it by the way) but in this case I think that the mother should have gotten an abortion because clearly if you're addicted to drugs and end up getting pregnant then more then likely that child is gonna be born messed up. So do you believe in getting an abortion if the mothers addicted to drugs?
