Best answer: Automation only benefits those in a position to profit from it. All those automatic checkouts at the supermarket only make money for the supermarket, they do not benefit those whose jobs were lost. Every time you pay a bill online or by direct debit it benefits only the agency who no longer has to pay a bunch of people behind the counter. I think that many people will indeed retire earlier but not because of their own choice, rather because they no longer have jobs and a salary. For the average person automation has very much a negative effect. Those 1980s predictions ignore basic economic principles, they were never going to be realistic and the trend will likely continue for a very long time to come.

I went into a gas station on my break today and got a Fiji water, as I made my purchase, i saw a banana. After working long enough to earn my break, I was a bit hungry and to add I like to eat healthy as much a possible. Anyway, I ask to add the banana to my purchase and this lady who had just walked up behind me says "so trashy..." under her voice. I turned and looked at her , of course she looked away.. Might i add, this banana was very yellow. I said thank you to the clerk and went on with my day, but I have not eaten the banana because I don't understand if it's just a low blow or a direct insult...

It's like in their perfect little world, everyone is only of their race and everyone looks very similar to them. Will humans ever learn to embrace each other instead of always highlighting differences as if it's a bad thing? On the other hand, these same people are more than happy to use the services of people of other i.e. doctors, teachers, entertainers...lol it's so hypocritical. Maybe it's harder to understand that we're all human and the same in this way for people who are only of one race. I'm mixed race so I naturally since i was a young child never really had a biased view on race because one of my parents was really dark, the other the complete opposite and I fall in between. I guess I'm just lucky to see things differently.

  • Sociologically Distinguish between monogamy, polygamy, polyandry, and polygyny. Which do we have as a U.S. cultural norm?

Best answer: Monogamy = one wife. Polygamy = two or more wives. Polyandry = two or more husbands. Polygyny = no such thing. You can add to this the concept of a LINE marriage where you bring in new younger spouses every few years, alternating woman and man so the marriage goes on forever. It would be a good way to accumulate wealth and keep it in the family. There is also the concept of a group marriage where a number of men and women all about the same age marry each other and live as one big spousal group. This would not go on forever but it would pool resources and ensure the kids had parental supervision. The WORST arrangement is a single parent home but that seems to be the US cultural norm these days.

Best answer: Fortunately you are wrong. You can meet girls through work, study and social activity. If you approach women in a suitable situation with a relaxed and friendily vibe, then you can normally talk to them and get to know them without many problems. If women are being closed off to you then the problem likely lies with the way you are approaching them or presenting yourself.

Online dating is something I've personally never liked. Build yourself a life and naturally meet new people through this life. From the girls you encounter, act if you think there is potential for something more.
