  • Is this a sensible way for a government with a budget deficit to conduct a poll of it's citizens?

The New Zealand prime minister has decided that he wants to change the New Zealand flag, apparently because some people (or maybe just he) might confuse it with the Australian flag. To this end a committee will decide on a group of designs to be presented in a $26 million referendum to pick the preferred alternative. Later, a further $26 million will be spent on another referendum to see if New Zealanders actually want to change the flag. Does this seem to be the right order in which to ask, or is it designed to bias the outcome?

However the link in the notice, which is supposed to be a link to Customer Care, only contains "mailto:@" and cannot be used. Where there used to be an option to Contact Customer Care hidden in the maze of Help, it no longer appears to be there, with the solution to every problem being the same list: "Resolution articles What is spam? Clear your browser's cache and cookies Fix problems with Yahoo mobile webpages Fix browser and feature problems on Yahoo" It now appears that Y!A has made itself totally non-contactable and I would like to know why. Does anybody have any sensible answers tothis dilemma?

  • Yet another Yahoo glitch?

Does anyone else find that when answering a question, the entry goes to the 'Search Answers' box instead of the 'Be the first one to answer' box? This seems to happen about 90% of the time with me.

  • Why Ramadan?

Why do so many people in this category begin their questions with the word "Ramadan" as though they were asking it to answer? Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar; Muslims worldwide observe this as a month of fasting. On this site it appears to mean anything vaguely related to Islam.

  • Why is Yahoo so difficult to contact?

I just got a violation email for pointing out to someone that it is a violation to ask for YouTube views. I can't appeal because the appeal page can't be opened. It appears that Yahoo expects people to turn a blind eye to offences by others, but punishes those who try to defend what is right. Why is there no easily found contact address?

Two ladders, one of length 30 feet and the other of length 40 feet are leaning across each other across an alley. The foot of each ladder is against one wall and the top is against the opposite wall. The point where the ladders cross is 10 feet above the floor of the alley. How wide is the alley? • New Zealand Xtra Broadband Users, please.?

Have any other New Zealand Xtra broadband users experienced several DSL signal drop-outs recently? I am trying to determine if it is happening only where new fibre-optic cables are being installed, or if it is more widespread. Telecom, of course, does not reply.
