I read recently on T Nation that if you bake used coffee grounds for an hour or so (at 140 degrees) and eat it (like baking it in cornbread or something) it will help you lose weight. They said a 150lb person (someone imo that doesnt really need to lose weight) should consume 3 level tablespoons of it. And it helps with gut bacteria.
I weigh about 260, so I guesstimate at around 5 tablespoons (higher than level).

I'm 29 and have been smoking since my 15th birthday. For the past year+ I've been smoking a pack and a half of Cheyenne cigars with the occasional cigarette. From age 15 to 23 I would cut the filter in half and put a cig out halfway and light back up 20 minutes later. Then from age 23 to 27 I would smoke a full filtered cigarette. I believe my heart is very weak. I've never had a heart attack, but it just feels weak at times. And that along with getting lazy with my workouts, it's kinda hard to get back where I used to be.
Anyway, I'm wondering if VO2max training (eventually lactate threshold sprint intervals) could be dangerous. Or would it help?

Would it be a waste of $100 to buy a PS3 just to play a few games? How long do you think it would last?
A local GameStop has a PS3 for $100. I've never owned one before. I just want to play Red Faction: Guerilla, Red Faction: Armageddon and Call Of Duty: Block Ops. All of which I already own.

US Marines are supposed to be able to run a 4 1/2 minute mile, eventually. Navy SEALs? I don't know. FBI? I don't know.
But I was reading a not so enjoyable novel by a British guy named Matthew Dunn (his debut novel). The main character sprinted for 30 minutes (running away from two men) and covered 10 miles. That is a 20 mph sprint. 3 minutes per mile.

One time I did 9 reps on my first set with a particular weight and movement. About 6 workouts later, I was able to do 35 reps in the first set with the same weight. I had planned on moving the weight up and repeating the process. I aimed to do a set max with weights with a fairly short rest (like a minute and a half or so).
I used to watch Strength Wars on YouTube, and seeing powerlifters use heavy weight (heavy to me - prob half their 1rm) for numerous reps got me to thinking I should start really light and just crank out as many reps as possible in just 3 sets.
How heavy do you think I could deadlift (max) once I reached a point where progress ended? On SW, there was a powerlifter who did strongman stuff too called The Faceless. He turned out to be Sebastian Kot. He could deadlift 440lbs for 20 reps easy.Diet & Fitness2 months ago
