Do we still have a representative gay rugby team in NZ? Does it play in mainstream competition?

No. They disbanded after a few games.

Pity ---they were great guys---they played in pink and never won a game, mainly because everyone was so terrified of losing to them.

No they gave up playing.....too many scrums.....nobody wanted to get the ball and run....they just wanted scrums all the time....and everyone wanted to be the halfback.

Most mainstream teams are gay to some extent. I've worked at rugby club rooms and there is as much action between the players off the field as on! It's just the nature of a full contact sport.
