Well previous to today, the earliest the home test season has begun is 7 December. And we've had a relatively dry spring, so the pitches shouldn't be overly green ... it is a good thing.

XP3: November is Spring. This season is beginning earlier than normal.

Global warming leads to drastic climate change and extremes of weather conditions. That means it is just as likely in good old NZ we will have more games washed out by thunderstorms, especially in the sub tropical areas in the upper North Island. Wellington will get even more gale force southerlies and Canterbury will get unseasonal snow and floods. It might be all right in Invercargill, but not before Christmas!
