I can't compare both of them with each other. They both have the different qualities.Gilly has helped Aussie in winning so many matches as an opener. But don't forget Dhoni. He has done very well as a Batsman and as a captain. As a captain he has set many new records. In wicket keeping both are equally terrific.

Gilchrist is the most devastating no 6/wk batsman ever in world cricket...he changed the nature of the game by being such a power player...

None like him...Dhoni is not even on the same planet....

gilli wasn't a good wicket keeper by international standards but dhoni is worse.

gillchrist is a better batter but they are pretty much the same in kepping so i would pick gilly
