Why is there no mention on the rugby page (or anywhere else for that matter) about the NZ Women's Rugby team?

They are playing in England at the moment and I would like to at least like to know whether they had won or not.

Hi there, they won the first test 16-3, then thrashed England 'A' 47-3 midweek. And their final test against England this Sunday at 5.45am will be played LIVE on Sky Sport 1. I know its hard to believe but they really are going to screen it!!!! The AB's are curtainraiser for the game. At least the England RFU know how to treat our World Cup winning Black Ferns! But no-one in New Zealand would even know that!

And as for Brian J, probably doesn't like watching women play because they play a better game of rugby than the men - at least the Black Ferns can score tries and carve up defence. the AB's could learn a bit from the Black Ferns about how to win World Cups too!

At least someone else can see the value of the women's game. It is also a fact that they have won the world cup more than once and the All Blacks haven't.

Welcome to the wonderful world of New Zealand media, everytime I've been there (I visit regularly and lived there for a couple of years) its find the non rugby story and if an all black has touched a ball in the previous week its find the non All Black story.

I've watched their news on the day of several major international sporting events and the first three sports items are always rugby even if its talking about the injury of Neville Nobody from some minor provence...guess womens rugby just happens to find itself as important as every other sport except Mens Rugby......thats the only thing I was would change about New Zealand its 'All black this , that and everything'..

its just typical NZ .... the All Blacks & rugby are the be all and end all .... it doesnt matter in this country that we have world ranked & world champs in other sports. They dont count when it comes to tv air time (including the womens' NZ rugby team)

Women's rugby does get short-changed in every sort of coverage. Its too bad, because most woman who give the ladies' game a chance end up loving it.
