I have moved my clothesline from outside my back door to the far corner of the half acre block so that every day I am walking as far as possible to hang and get my washing in! At work, I use the toilet that is farthest away from my work station and as much as possible I get up and visit people in the office rather than email them. When I break for lunch, first I hit the pavement and walk the full 5 blocks of our main street and back again, then I eat! When I go grocery shopping I walk up and down every aisle regardless of whether I need anything in them and I set myself a time to get through to the checkout.

i maintain a healthy balance of exercise and food by spending a shortime at the gym about 30min-1hour every morning before i go to work but i have to say exercise alone does nothing you HAVE TO eat well i prefer granola bars for breakfast only 90 calories each and certain kinds are even less try snacking dark chocolate instead of lighter types and banana popsicles which are very healthy and delicious

    When Talking on the Phone
-To work your calves, slowly raise your heel so that you are standing on your toes. Hold this pose for a few seconds, then repeat for as long as you are talking.

When Sitting at Work or at a Desk
-To work your thighs, as you are sitting straight with good posture, lift one leg 3-4 inches off the ground. Hold this for 15 seconds, then slowly let it fall. Repeat with the other leg, and don't forget your posture.

    When Laying on Your Stomach
-To work your legs, if you are studying or reading and laying on your stomach, gently lift both of your legs off the ground so that your thighs are about 1 inch off the ground and your feet are at a 45 degree angle of that. Slowly let them glide apart, and hold this for a few seconds. Repeat.

    When Watching TV
-Just keep walking in place. After a while, it becomes a habit.
    -Instead of sitting, stand.
-Invest in an exercise ball and sit on that.

You could try leaving your lunch in your car and walking to get it, parking far away from your work building (assuming that your food will not spoil easily). Bring a water bottle with you, and you may get thirsty. You won't eat as much, then.

    I always walk up/down stairs.
In the summer I'll park further away. (In the winter, not so much. I just can't stand cold weather).
I live in the city so when it's decent out I'll walk to/from destinations as opposed to taking the bus or subway. (Again, not when it's cold/ raining).
I walk at a fast pace.
If I can't bring myself to go to the gym I have DVDs and exercise links saved on my computer.
I don't own weights but I drink lots of water so I use full gallons for resistance.
I clean my room a lot, by hand. No machines.

I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, so low-impact activity throughout the day is very important as I can't push my body to hard or else I get really sick. Whenever I am healthy enough, these are the ways I try to get some exercise without actually "exercising".

    - Walk my dogs. I have two gorgeous, quite big dogs who need to be walked every 1-2 days. Mostly my mum or dad take them out, but when I need to get outside I walk them down to the dog-park.

    - Housework. For most people this probably doesn't count for much, but for me washing the dishes by hand, cleaning up the house or sweeping/vacuuming is at least some activity.

    - Pilates. I go to a Pilates class once a week and I have a few exercises that I can do while watching TV or reading.

    - Walking. I try to walk most places if possible, or at least walk some of the way and busing the rest.

    - Shopping. I am a HUGE shopping addict, so most of my exercise actually comes from walking around the shopping centre with my friends. Luckily, by best friend who I spend most of my time with has a 10 week old baby so I get to rest when she is feeding, which at the moment is every 2 hours.

    - Beach. I live in Sydney, Australia, walking distance from 3 different beaches so we spend a lot of our time there. Walking up and down the sand, over the rocks and swimming gives you a lot of activity for the day.

    - Play with children. I do a lot of babysitting and other child-care, and if you know kids you know that they keep you moving.

I enjoy gardening with my chickens. We dig up worms and pull up grass and having the chickens around makes it really fun.
I also park at the farthest end of the car park when it isn't hot or raining and take stairs instead of escalators.
I find that cleaning, washing and polishing my car is also a good work out.

Always park far away in the parking lot, take stairs when at all possible, walk down every grocery aisle when shopping,(avoid buying anything from the middle of the store), walk the dog daily, and do jumping jacks every time the thought enters your head.

I walk down each aisle in the Supermarket, instead of just going straight to the ones I know I need. It gives me time to stretch my legs in between school and home. I try to get out for a walk in the evenings, and when I have mail to post I walk to the Red box at the milk-bar instead of driving to the post office.

    - I take the batteries out of my remote control

    - Go shopping for clothes too small for you (lots of walking and sucking in tummies)

    - I take the furthest parking spot when I stop at McDonalds

    - Only carry one item at a time when getting your midnight snack (cup, milk, cookies ...)

    - Don't walk, but DANCE! Just put earphones in your ears, and no-one will think you are strange ... they may even start dancing with you.

Well, when I worked in an office environment (I'm retired now), I made it a habit of doing push-ups every time I came back from going to the restroom. Only took a minute or so added on to the break, and over the length of a day, the number of push-ups would add up! Hope this helps. All the best, Rick

I catch the bus to my daughters preschool and then either walk home or walk to work from there, this has made a big difference to my fitness level and gives me time to think and reflect without interruptions. Also my ipod is a fantastic help I download podcasts such as Thank God It Friday from the ABC and laugh as I walk, such joy!!

I sneak in exercise by doing everything myself. I do a lot, I walk rather than take a car. I take every chance I can to go for walks. I sometimes drop and do push ups or crunches.
