i know theres a high chance when you deliver your baby will have the same condition... it happened to my sister. she had to stay in the hospital for a week. but other than that i would get suggestions from your OBGYN...

    good luck and god bless.

    Hey,
I was never diagnosed with Jaundice but i have been diagnosed with a low Vitamin D count. I thik its pretty much the same thing, not getting enough sun. Im 36weeks pregnant and very tired so i sleep majority of the day. Due to this, i get no sun and have to take a vitamin d supplement daily, its called ostelon (sp?)

I have been told with this condition low vitamin D/ Jaundice, that bubs may be born with the same problem. Most babies are born with jaundice anyway or it develops a few days later. They will give bubs a shot of medicine when he/she is born if its needed.

This is very much a medical question that needs to be discussed with your doctor.

The effects of the jaundice on you, and any potential effects on baby, AND any necessary treatment will depend on the exact cause of the jaundice. And enlarged liver is a symptom, (so is jaundice, for that matter) not a disease in itself.
