Uncle Charlie DIED. He wants to be BURIED IN HIS '63 CORVETTE. Should we do this?
I'm the executor of his will, so it's my decision. But, it's his wish.He put it in his will, but, being the executor, I own his body, and have final say. I just can't see burying the car, it's not a casket. The funeral director agrees with me. I always thought I would look good in that car. What do you think?

Have him cremated and keep the ashes in the glove compartment of the Corvette. A win/win solution.
Happy driving!

if Uncle Charlie lived and breathed this car, do what he wants. maybe he invisioned himself raising hell in heaven in it. A person's wishes should be respected as much as they can. If Uncle Charlie was the kind of person who wanted you to "look good" in that car, then don't...but it was his life, and now it's his death. Maybe if you can't bear parting with it, take a peice out of it, like the seat or the stearing wheel or something to bury with him, then it's a compromise. I hope you and your Uncle come to an agreement and I hope you find peace in your decision

dats a verry hard decision wether 2 keep the car, sell the car ir burry the car they all have there ups and downs. This is one of the questions we wish that we will never have to answer or be asked. This isnt a question that the people on yahoo answers should be answering beacause they dont know you or ur family or your uncle. This is a decision that u and ur family should make yourselves.

Executor does not make you have final say. You only have the final say if you are the legal next of kin, being executor has nothing to do with it. Do you realize how many permits you would need to obtain and how many grave spaces you would need to actually bury a car? Not to mention the EPA would be all over that like flies on sh*t. I think this question is just for kicks!
EDIT:
After reading some of your other questions, I am now sure that this is just a bunch of crap!

it really depends on how selfish you are.if this is his dying wish and you have the power to make it happen then i would make it happen... don't let greed take over for what your heart is telling you to do... i told my kids what i wanted to have don't with me when i die and i hope for their sake they will abide by my wishes... although its not as big as being buried in my car... i know you probably don't believe in the after life but if my kids didn't do what i asked i would come back and let them know how upset i was about it...
if your uncle gave you this deed to do then he must trust you to do so.... your uncle wants to be buried in his car as his final resting place to feel close to the material object he loved most...grant him this dying wish and let him rest in peace...
cheers

Charlie is DEAD!!!!!
Sing along with me:
"You can't always get what you want....
You can't always get what you want...
But if you try sometime...
You just might find...
You get what you need....."
Charlie doesn't "want" anything anymore. But, you NEED a car....especially a nice one.
Buy him a box and drive the car.
Do you really have to ask this question? C'mon, man, c'mon.
EDIT: Oops...sorry, Patricia. I mean, C'mon, girl, c'mon...keep the car.

Holy crap! That's insane! It also sounds very expensive.
Well, first ask yourself, would you feel guilty driving it around?
If it were my uncle and that's what he wanted, then I'd probably do it, although it sounds like it would be a lot of extra cash and work. If Charlie knew you liked the car, wouldn't he have left it to you if he didn't REALLY want to be buried in it?
I really love Kate's suggestion. Bury him with a part of the car, that would fit in a casket. Like the hood ornament or something. Then you are honouring his idea and being practical about it.

It doesnt matter if you would look good in that car or not... If I was left to someones burial.. (I probably will be, my dads) I would do exactly what he wanted... and my dad has this HOT Mustang that I have been trying to get in... but I am sure he is going to want the same thing.. to be buried in it... I would do it, no questions asked... HE bought it, he has spent years fixing it up and restoring it... thats what needs to be done, you shouldnt even be thinking like that.... thats awful!

It would be good to follow his wishes, especially if he was fond of the car, and who wouldn't. I would check with your state if something like that can even be done though. Must be some type of ordinance against that. If you don't he may come back to haunt you, remember the movie "Christine?"

Can you live with yourself if you do it?
Does it cost extra to bury him in the car a pose to a casket?
What does the rest of the family think?
-
1. Cremate him.
2. Place remains in an urn.
3. Secure it in trunk.
4. Keep car.
5. ???
6. Profit.

Depending on your local regulations, you probably are not allowed to bury the car.

Have him cremated, put his ashes in the ash tray. Transfer ownership and drive the car.

only if he left you enough money to get your own car and then some. Is that against the law environmentally?
