Why is it that cats love milk carton rings so much?
I bought plenty of toys for my 2 cats. They could care less about the toys. They love playing with milk carton rings.

They're easy for them to bat around, and fun for them to chase!

Many cats try to find things to play with like string. Cats like milk carton rings because they can play with it and they can entertain themselves.

Those are my cats' favorite things to play with, too. I think they like it because they can pick it up with their paws/claws and toss it around. Plus it's fun to chew on.

Good QUESTion ! I too have as many cat toys as you and yet they both prefer that milk carton ring which is second only to a plastic binder-strap that our mailman uses for junk mail - go figure ! :0)

I think it's due to the resilient nature of the plastic itself. It always wants to curl up, so when it's played with, it "moves" for them. I'd just like to know why my cats love the actual twist-on plastic caps so much. They don't do anything half as neat as moving plastic rings.
