Need some ideas for a baby shower....HELP!!?

I recently found out that a manager I work with is having a baby. I want to plan a baby shower for her and need some help. I work with men and women and want to involve everyone. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You are so sweet for thinking of this.
I would first set a date.. During office hours. if this does not work for the office you work in, then set one on the weekend.
But, with men and woman during office hours would be the best.
Make it simple.. Just a cake and some small snacks.
Make it mostly a gift shower.
Make up some really cute announcements. Have everyone bring a present in and suprise her with allof the gifts and the cake.
Simple but sweet.

Hope this helps...

pass out condoms and tell everyone that it would be much less of a hassle not to bother you with their reproduction issues.

Hand out pretty slips of paper to all of the attendees. On one piece, each person should write a wish that they have for the baby. On another piece, have them write a piece of advice for the mom. I have done this at showers and requested that it be done for me, and they are wonderful little non-material things to add to a baby's scrapbook or album.

I threw a co-ed baby shower for my sister. We did a luau baby shower...it made it more tolerable for the men. We put the baby gifts in a hammock...got a beach themed cake with a hammock...put a mom, dad and baby cake decoration in it. Really, it just depends on what the mom is into. If you are having it at work, then it will probably be very simple. I love the quarter in a bottle game. You have to put a quarter between your knees and walk it to an empty bottle and lower yourself to drop it in. It makes you sympathize with the waddling mom to be. $5 gift cards make great prizes...Starbucks is always good. You can make it where everyone pitches in money and you guys buy one of the big items on her list...because those are the things she needs most. There was a hilarious game at a baby shower I went to once. You take panty hose and put an orange in one leg. Then, you use the other to tie around your waist. You have to swing the orange to hit another orange. Whoever gets it the furthest wins. There is also the classic "how many toilet paper squares does it take to fit around the prego belly" game. As long as you have food, a few games and good prizes...it will be great and she will appreciate it. Good luck!

you could ask everyone to bring in something to eat like a potluck thing for either an early breakfast or late lunch together and those that want to bring in a gift can set up a chair for her to sit on decorate it with blue pink streamers and tie some ballons same colors and those that bring a gift set it down in front of the chair or around her chair but enought space so she can get to the chair safely and have one persin in charge of serving her a plate of food and a drink non alcoholic best of course but just have like a sign up sheet go around and have tjhose put their name and the item of their choive to bring and on another to see whos bringing a gift and that shoud be fun i got to do this for a teacher of mine in the evenings and it worked out great just use plastic plates and such easier faster clean up and if anyone has a small radio play some music not so loud as to bother the place but enough to have a nive good time hope this works let me know how it goes for you ok

i love baby showers. you basically need to think of food and games and prizes. make a list of people and send them invitations. and do games like: the clothespin(if anyone crosses their legs, the person who sees them gets their pin, person with the most at the end wins), baby word puzzles(what is "tltobe"..."bottle"!!), baby food tasting(guess the food names), who can change the baby doll the fastest?

    Game ideas:
    1. Get 10 jars of baby food, take off labels and make them guess what is in it. Just use plain ones, it is too hard with mixed foods.(make sure you write down what is what & number the jars)
    2. Wrap 5 gifts in a box & put it in the middle of a circle. Make one especially larger and put the silliest gift in it. Then get a pair off dice in a pie pan and have them pass it around. If they roll a double then they get a gift. After all gifts are out from the middle they can start stealing them from other people. Play for about 5-7 minutes then whoever has the presents win them. (Everyone will fight over the bigest one)
    3. Get yarn and let them guess how big around mommy's belly is. The closest wins a gift.

I had men & women at my baby shower and they all enjoyed it. The men even played the games.
