I hated them when I was at school, but speaking as a parent they are a great leveller, no designer peer pressure at school, no one knicking your sons designer trainers etc. After spending years hating wearing a uniform at school I left and went into work as a Prison Officer... straight from one uniform to another.... Go Figure!!

well, I would not want uniforms. Definitely, 'cause like what if it has a wool vest, I'll get all itchy. And if I'm wearing a wool vest in like July, I'll be sweating. Will the uniforms have skirts? I don't like to wear skirts 'cause they totally clash with sneakers,(i like, wear them all the time)& jeans are so much more comfortable.for me, that is. But that's just my outtake on uniforms. Go w/ your choice.

yes, they take a lot of the drama out of the getting ready process, also no matter how rich or poor you are everyone is the same in those uniforms, also, it helped my daughter to not dress so "sexy" ie: trashy

There is nothing wrong in wearing School Uniforms, this way the less fortunate can feel better because the kids that can buy better clothes than they can, cannot be able to do it anymore.

none.

I wish my kids had uniforms because they would probably get dressed quicker in the a.m. since there wouldn't be any choice about what to wear. Also, they wouldn't have to have as many regular clothes since they could only wear them on the weekends - they could own less jeans, etc.

I think that they are ugly, but great. They are great, because children should focus on their studies instead of worrying about who has what. I am very poor and resented all the fuss other children made of my clothing while I was going to school. It was very difficult and no one should be subjected to that abuse!

I'm all for uniforms, even if I am against the system. If the kids all dress the same they cant bug the crap out of one another with the overpriced sneakers and stuff. Plus it will instill what is proper attire for work. I sound exactly like everything I am opposed to. I am a painting contractor but I wear my painting uniform to work. white shirt, white hat, white contractor pants, construction boots. Dress accordingly.

i had to wear uniforms for one year and that's when i was in middle school. I don't think uniforms help at all because it takes away from our personality and i got made fun of more when my classmates and i had to wear uniforms. Uniforms don't help they just make things worse.

No uniforms, this is a way for the youth to express their self, and the people who say yes because it would stop others from picking, I say then the school should do something to stop the problem, just changing the option to uniforms don't do nothing but take away that child's open mind for expressing what they stand for and individuality

I think they are sometimes good because kids can't pick on you for what you are wearing, but you can't really have clothes that fit you and look good on you if you have unitforms. If you wear normal clothes and there is no uniform, kids can look bad but it lets them be themselves. I think that dress codes are a good option because it gives the kids some choice but they can't just wear whatever they want.

I hated mine but in this designer label age it prevents peer pressure for those financially better able to afford designer clothes for their children

i agree with them. if everyone dresses the same nobody Will look down on those who may not be able to afford the nicer clothes. everyone is equal when it comes to clothing. i say it helps everyone blend in with one another
